December

December was a busy month, I spent the first week tidying up rails by moving them into the stock room and taking styling pieces of them and putting them back into the styling area, as well as putting footwear away. I pulled samples to be used for APAC videos and printed out all of the AW25 pre styling decks and then labelled and organized them in order of legwear. I also got asked to order styling bits from retailers like ZARA and Massimo Dutti for the Alexa Chung styling, as we had a shoot coming up for the collaboration.

The following week I put the rest of the AW25 pre rails away that were still left out from styling days, as well as clearing a stragglers rail away. I started working on the AW25 main styling decks to eventually be used for ecomm. I was asked to pull Erdem and Alexa samples for Kathryn so she could style them and do fittings with a model, as she had to leave early that day, I took over from her and put the model into a couple outfits and worked with Molly to get imagery of the looks.

To prepare for the APAC videos, I organized the women’s rail by splitting up SS25 and carry forward samples, I then put together and printed the styling sheets for the videos. When it came to the mens APAC videos I had to take over from James as he had to work on something else, so I was able to style the model and work with Dan who used the style shoot machine to record the model. I carried on doing this the following day as there were many more samples to get through. At the end of the week I was able to assist with the Alexa shoot and work with Rachel Bakewell, which was interesting to observe as the stying was very different compared to the typical Barbour styling.

I started off the last week of December by assisting freelance stylist and art director Hannah Baxter with the women’s APAC videos. Mid week I was asked to retag all the Alexa samples and update the range plan, specifically to rename a a bunch of samples that were in either the essentials or shirt department collection and make a note of whether they were linked with other collections and what drop they were. Whenever I’d get the chance throughout the entire week I would continue working on the AW25 main styling decks. On the last day before breaking off for Christmas I finished working on the Erdem styling deck to be sent to them and tidied up all the styling and accessories so the studio was as tidy as possible for the New year.
