I spent the first couple days of February checking over all the AW25 Main styling decks, making sure all the imagery had been added and that there wasn’t any missing information. Once this was all done, I began working on the SS25 DTC flat lay’s brief, I would read through the different briefs and look over the mood boards and then pull specific CAD options. Once these were all checked by someone on the global ecommerce trade team, I started pulling all the products from the stock room, there were a few items that I struggled finding within our stock so I had to find alternative options so that the photographers and stylists would have enough product to work with.
Towards the start of the month, we had a polos and casual jackets campaign shoot, I helped the stylists prep by steaming where needed, making sure the samples on the rails were in order of outfits and that all the footwear and accessories were placed with the right looks, ensuring the stylist could easily find what they needed. When I’d finished with this I was asked to pull product for stylist interviews, this included samples that they had been asked to style and extra pieces that they wanted to use as styling pieces, I also found footwear and accessories that they wanted to incorporate in their looks.
Midway through February, I assisted in the SS26 Pre styling meeting for campaign. I worked alongside Milly, the campaign production placement to create a slide for each look that they were wanting to shoot, as well as a garment list. We made sure that there was an image of each look and that each piece of clothing was specified with either a product code or where it was from. I always enjoy being able to sit in on the styling meetings, as it’s interesting to see different peoples opinions on what kinds of looks they think should represent the brand, as many people are often involved in the meetings, from the campaign production team and stylists to designers that work in Barbour House from both the mens and womenswear department.

Whilst Kathryn was away on the campaign shoot, she left me a handover to work on for the week. She wanted me to continue printing the AW25 Main styling decks and to check the tracker for when she had finished adding notes from the feedback to them so I knew when to print them. She also asked me to tidy up rails from DTC, outfitting, reels and campaign as they needed to be cleared of all styling pieces and remaining stock needed to be put in productions shot area so they could eventually tidy them away into the stock room. I needed to support on ecomm and do my usual morning prep by steaming, checking the rails and making sure the freelance stylists had all the accessories and footwear that they needed. As well as checking the sets every now and then throughout the day. I also spent an afternoon tidying the styling area, where I organised the rails properly, cleaned and sorted the styling trolleys that we use on set, re-organised all the shoe shelves and moved a few bits of shelving that have boxes of extra accessories and footwear in them, to make the area more accessible and easy to use for freelancers.

I thoroughly enjoyed the last week of this month as I spent the majority of the week on set, assisting Kathryn with ecomm as she had to art direct and style at the same time, which meant she needed me to keep everything organised on set, I constantly made sure we had everything we needed and that outfits were steamed and ready in the dressing room for each outfit change and that the looks were in the best order so the days would flow well. I also helped out the other two ecomm sets when the freelance stylists needed assistance with missing styling pieces or if they needed something I did on my set I would try work out a solution. It was nice to be back on ecomm as it had been a while since I was able to actually sit in and assist without needing to do other tasks.
